People always find something to moan at.

The end of the day the show has been and gone, but the hospital is still being knocked down. I know what I consider more importrant

"We are concerned also that the recent TV programme has been conceived without recognising the risk that it might encourage unauthorised access into an extremely dangerous building."

Someone's having a giraffe. Hundreds of people have gone through that building way before MHL thought of going there.

I know this is posted on another part of this forum. But I feel this video (by Peter Glynn) is suitable to this topic.

We are all forgetting It has brough to the massess the plight of the Alylum, we had 2000 hits on our blog most for the interest in the Asylum. The residents should be thankfull for MHL it will bring more people to Denbigh. Yes i agree that they could have a chosen a better title, but at the end of the day, its a  tv programme and out to get as many paying viewers as poss Oh and of course pay Yvette and Carl's colosal salaries.

I agree with some of that but feel MHL would have been much better received had they stuck to fatual information rather than over sensationalised rubbish, fitting fake items turning it into a film set and conducted a serious investigation.

The first person to balme is the people closed it down in the first place.

It was a victim of government policy, part of the hospital plan for england and wales was to close down instiutions and treat people in the community or within units attached to general hospitals. You could have a go at Enoch Powell but I think your a little late.

Second, the first owner for ripping out anything of worth.
and finaly the present owner.

Your correct there, another scandal, alongside the destruction of the NWH is the terrible president this sets. It would now appear that if you have a listed building on your property that doesnt fit with your plans or wont be profitable enough to convert you simply have to fail to secure it, allow theives and vandals to destroy it and then claim it's beyond repair.

My parents and i all worked at the hospital up until it closed, we were lucky enough to have tickets for most haunted on the wednesday evening and we were disgusted that the local authority had let this beautiful building crumble into such a stae of disrepair. Most haunted should be praised for allowing the public in to see how they're(local councilors & Denbighshire CC) have abandoned this fantastic historical building. Shame on you all(sad thing is a lot of local councillors actually worked at the hospital). as far as i'm concerned you are all criminals. you allowed that beatiful building to be sold to a conman like Hitman. and who of you got rich over this.I Wonder. as for knocking the building down........ would you knock the castle down or the bull Hotel .........me thinks not so why is part of our history and heritage going with out a bloody good fight against the corruption and greed of all those involved in it's sale.

I can appreciate some comments about the Title of MHL but at the end of the day it wasnt about Denbigh - It was about the inmates/residents of the hospital.
Lets face it - The 1800s/Early 1900s they would have be technically classed as the damned - Medicine wasnt as advanced as it is now

If it wasn't for MHL I would never have known this place existed & the situation this outstanding building finds itself in. Shocked
They can't let this piece of structural beauty become another pile of rubble with the only reminder of its existence being photographs in history books. Angry
I support the protest 100% and hope that one day it will be restored to its former glory.
Keep up the good work.
